The rest of this text is a little about me in case you want to make sure we would be a good fit. I’ve worked in the mental health field for about five years. Before this career, I spent seven years in the military. When I got out I was serving as an infantryman but I spent time in logistics and the military police, too. I’m married and my wife and I have two little girls. While at the University of Cincinnati, I studied psychology and clinical social work. I’ve received training in trauma therapy, crisis intervention, the Gottman Method for couples, and Logotherapy/Existential Analysis. Most of the work I have done clinically is with Veterans, Service-Members, Law Enforcement, and family members. I have a heart for these communities, as well as for folks who bear the significant weight of race-based issues. Regarding trauma, I’ve worked with clients that have experienced trauma of virtually every kind. Sexual abuse/harassment/rape, combat-related, law enforcement-related, physical abuse, neglect, and more. If you’ve read the above and are still unsure, give me a call.
